High Art It’s another masterpiece in the making, as Waikīkī’s luxest shopping lair, Luxury Row (home to Chanel, Saint Laurent and brands of similar stature), and Cedar Street Galleries present the ninth incarnation of Hawaii’s Modern Masters, an art show if there ever was one, displaying the work of artistic talent at flagship locales dotting the chic shopping block at the height of the holiday season. Featuring a new lineup of participating stores and artists, the event—which will see the likes of landscape artist Kelly Sueda and photographer Kate Keller, both at Chanel, and award-winning sculptor Mark Chai at Gucci—kicks off with an opening-night artists’ reception Nov. 6 from 6-8pm and continues with the exhibit, running daily through Dec. 1. (Flag down complimentary valet parking at the porte cochere!) Truly fashionable, however, is Luxury Row’s tradition of contributing to the Honolulu Museum of Art’s Art to Go nonprofit outreach program whenever Hawaii’s Modern Masters decides to paint the town. 2100 Kalākaua Ave., Waikīkī, O‘ahu, 922.2246
